Where to Register?
I often get questions from couples about where the best places are to register. Here is a summary of some of my favorite options in alphabetical order:

- Bed Bath and Beyond: The ultimate one-stop shop offering items for every room in your home.
- Bloomingdale’s: Lots of luxury bed and bath lines, and a large variety of kitchen equipment and fine china.
- Crate & Barrel: Stylish products – from gourmet cookbooks to the book shelves you’d store them on
- Home Depot: DIY home-improvement items, plus grills, gardening tools and other outdoor gear
- J.C. Penney: Affordable appliances and kitchenware, bedding and linens
- Kohl’s: Everyday essentials (table settings, towels, and more) at bargain prices.
- Macy’s: Hundreds of brands of everything from furniture to flatware. Registrants receive a Macy’s gift card in the amount of 5 percent of the total purchases made by guests.
- Target: A big selection of high-design products and low prices.
- Tiffany & Co.: Fine china, crystal and silver sets, vases and show pieces – and the signature light-blue box for every gift.
- Williams-Sonoma: High-end appliances, cookware and hard-to-find gadgets.

I am also a huge fan of www.myregistry.com. You can combine items from every store listed above and many more and create one easy-to-use online registry.

Designer Spotlight: Judd Waddell
Judd Waddel bridal gowns always catch my eye in the bridal magazines. He’s known for architectural styles that showcase the bride, not the gown. Not surprisingly, he got his start in the bridal business at the legendary Carolina Herrera. Think pure romance, clean lines, and classic silhouettes! Enjoy some of my favorites below!

I’ve been meaning to blog about this forever, but earlier this summer White House Black Market introduced their bridal line!
The store that has been providing us with party frocks for years is now going down the aisle! All of the gowns are under $700!

Tasty Appetizer or Midnight Snack: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque
How tasty do these Vermont cheddar grilled cheese triangles look? How pretty do they look wedged into shot glasses filled with warm tomato bisque? Well Wed pointed me in the direction of Vermont Vows magazine with a spotlight on these savory treats from Thyme Tables Catering in Vermont. It’s certainly an idea your local caterer may be able to implement.
Kudos to my home state for making such a classic sandwich (and one that I just can’t seem to get enough of these days) refined and wedding-worthy!

Congratulations Gayle and Lee!
Gayle and Lee are getting married this long weekend at the beautiful Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth State Park. I am sooo excited for the two of them!
I cannot wait to share all the details. Two words to get your wedding planning heart pumping: Etsy and Vintage! Gayle and Lee really put themselves and who they are as a couple into their wedding design, and I am honored to be able to see it all come together. Congrats in advance to a wonderful couple!
