Canvas Prints!

While I’m on a home decor kick, I thought I would share a link to Simply Canvas.

I purchased three prints from them… two of our amazing honeymoon to Italy for the “seaside” guest room

and one from our wedding for our living room.

You have to be a photographer or a wedding professional (since I was able to get an account) to order for them, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that Snapfish offers a similar product.  I can only vouch for the great quality of Simply Canvas, and you can always ask your wedding photographer to look into it for you.

Etsy for Your Home!

This past week/weekend my husband and I finally worked on home decor!  Thanks to Etsy, I purchased some great items to tie things together.  I have black furniture and yellow curtains in our bedroom so I got the table runner below for the dressser and these square table overlays for the bedside tables.  Exactly the look I was going for! Interestingly enough, this Etsy shop (Darling Damask) focuses on wedding items… proof that the items you purchase for your wedding can be used for your home later on!

I also purchased these linen napkins to overlay on the dressers and bedside table in our guest room.  It has sort of a subtle seaside style, so these are absolutely perfect for the look I was going for.

Unaffordable Guilty Pleasure of the Day = Shoe Dreams

These shoes (Baily Feather – J. Crew) scream New Year’s Eve black-tie wedding… well, the peep-toe might be a bit of a problem with snow on the ground, but in this fantasy it will be an unseasonable warm 39 degrees.

Just sitting here wishing they were $32.50…

Pre-Holiday sale, perhaps?

Ah, a gal and her shoe dreams…

New J. Crew

I cracked open the J. Crew catalog this morning only to be blown away by this Tatum Gown. The back is simply stunning, so elegant, and an updated classic.

A Great Wedding Resource: WeddingWire! And Some Good Words,Too!

I came across earlier this year, and I absolutely love it. It is a great resource to wedding planners, vendors, and couples because of its review feature. Vendors can endorse each other, and couples can review vendors, which is beyond helpful when trying to pick from a huge selection of professionals for your wedding. It’s also free for all vendors to sign up, so users get to sample from a large pool of wedding professionals.

I am happy to report that I’m the recipient of some great reviews and endorsements, which makes me feel so excited and proud of the work I’m doing at Better Together Events. Thanks to all my phenomenal clients, encouraging, kind, and talented fellow wedding vendors, and amazing brides for the good words!

Here’s a sample of one of my reviews:

out of 5.0
Quality of Service: 5.0 out of 5.0 (5.0/5.0)
Responsiveness: 5.0 out of 5.0 (5.0/5.0)
Professionalism: 5.0 out of 5.0 (5.0/5.0)
Value For Cost: 5.0 out of 5.0 (5.0/5.0)
Flexibility: 5.0 out of 5.0 (5.0/5.0)

Laura assisted with the day-of-coordination of my August 2009 wedding. Prior to the wedding, Laura was accessible, detail-oriented, and informative. No matter what issue I was dealing with, I always felt better after speaking with her. On the day of the wedding, Laura was on time, professional, effective, and fun! Without a doubt, the only reason I was able to relax and enjoy the day was because I knew I had Laura on my team and that she simply would not let anything go wrong. When small issues did arise (and they always do), Laura had an immediate solution. I distinctly remember thinking on that day: “I am so glad that she is here.” Her intelligence, problem-solving skills, and sense of humor make her truly great at what she does. I had a phenomenal experience with Laura, and I can guarantee she will be a stellar addition to your special day.

Because of the number of positive reviews I received this year, I am “Wedding Wire Rated” for 2009.

Happy Friday!

Oh Anthopologie… Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?

Exciting news Rochester Anthropologie fans out there: They are opening a new store in early-November at Eastview Mall in Victor, NY!

This means we can actually enjoy all the delights that Anthropologie has to offer without paying those exorbitant shipping fees. Happy Friday indeed! And I just happened to be by the mall the other day and took note of the massive size of the soon-to-be store, which I hope means good things about the size of the sale department!

Anthropologie can be a great source of rehearsal dinner attire, jewelry, accessories, and gifts:

First Dance Find: Ingrid Michaelson!

Last weekend, dear friends Courtney and Dave got married. These two are tons of fun and so perfect for each other!

Their first dance was to Ingrid Michaelson’s “The Way I am.” It was the perfect first dance tune: short, not to slow, and, most importantly, completely sweet. Congrats, Dave and Courtney!

The Way I Am – Ingrid Michaelson

I also dug up this YouTube video of Michaelson and Jason Mraz singing “Lucky” together; enjoy!
