Bridget and Gerry were married June 6, 2010 at Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY. Congratulations to an amazing couple!

Bridget and Gerry were my first complete planning couple of the season, and it was wonderful to see a year of planning come together in a beautiful day. Stormy skies didn’t get these two down as you can see in the amazing photography talent of Edoo Photography. Shawna and Shamir were unstoppable and I was so impressed with their skills! They are based out of Houston, but are always willing to travel for weddings.

I was thrilled to work with Flower Power Decor on this wedding. Lisa, the owner/floral designer, is incredible talented. She took Bridget’s vision of bright tangerine and persimmon red and added a hint of green and pink to really make the colors pop. The end result was just gorgeous.

Bridget and I loved Lisa’s designs so much, we incorporated the pink into some of the stationary elements and the chair cover rentals. The menu cards, programs, and ribbon details were done by yours truly at Better Together Events. Hank Parker’s supplied the chair cover and chair sashes in shades of persimmon red and pink.

Lisa also did the cake flowers on Bridget and Gerry’s delicious and beautiful cake, done by Missy at Edible Arts. So many guests were raving about this cake; it was beyond yum.

Half was vanilla on vanilla; the other half was orange cream with vanilla frosting. I had bites of both (ok, maybe a piece of both), and both were amazing. The orange cream was a cake version of a creamsicle (and just heavenly). I love the placement of the square tiers; combined with Lisa’s floral design, it was hard to look away from this cake!

Laurie and Bill at Flowing Fondue Chocolate supplied the chocolate-fountain, which you can see was a huge guest-favorite! The chocolate and all the dippers were delicious, and Laurie even provides a centerpiece for the table to compliment the wedding’s colors.

Special thanks to Sandy Gianniny, a wonderful harpist, who did the ceremony music. Despite temperatures in the 50s, Sandy was determined to make music for Bridget and Gerry’s lovely ceremony. And she did it beautifully!

I get asked a lot if I get nervous before weddings, and of course I do a bit, but my nerves are always calmed by the amazing team of vendors that come together as a team to implement a couple’s vision of their big day. Many thanks to all the wonderful vendors mentioned above, and to Carmen and her incredibly knowledgeable staff at Belhurst, Karen and Brandon at Isabella Spa (nails, hair, and makeup), K Ventures (transportation), Go Sound (entertainment), and Chaplain Grace for his officiating.

Bridget and Gerry, thank you so much for inviting me along on the adventure of wedding planning and to take part in your most special of days. It was my pleasure getting to know you and bouncing ideas off one another. May every day be as happy and as special as June 6, 2010 for the two of you!

Amazing wedding and amazing photography!! Way to go you guys.
