Ah London, Bridget Jones, Mr. Darcy, Colin Firth…. and Alice Temperley (Temperley London), a Better Together Events kind of bridal atelier. Her dresses are gorgeously draped, supremely romantic, and with a 40s/50s edge. Love. I must report, you’ll pay a pretty penny for these truly unforgettable gowns ($3,000-$12,000).

Ivy & Aster makes just gorgeous wedding frocks at affordable prices (<$300 for bridesmaids and around $2,o00 for bridal gowns). I just love the ethereal and romantic quality of their dresses, and their short bridal pieces just scream sass! There are no stores that carry them in the Rochester area, but you can shop online this summer! Enjoy!

Now you can shop for your wedding gown while grocery shopping with Costco’s new line of wedding dresses by designer Kirstie Kelly. Prices range from $699 to $1,399 (comparable to Vera Wang’s David’s Bridal line). Sizes range from 2 to 24.

Long before I ever started planning weddings, before I was engaged and looking for wedding dresses myself, I can remember being introduced to the wonderful world of Priscilla of Boston passing by their flagship store on Boston’s Boylston Street.
