Friday Funnies: 110 Bridesmaids!
A couple weekends ago, an Ohio couple got married with 110 bridesmaids in tow! The bride owns a dance studio, and she asked all of her students to be a bridesmaid. Can you imagine how long that processional took!?!?

Friday Funnies: More Wedding Dance Amazingness
Ok, we’ve all seen the JK Wedding Dance and the fabulous Office Parody, but I dug up some equally impressive and entertaining wedding dances for your wedding amusement. Happy Friday!
This first one just gets better and better with some incredible steps. The couple leaves you wishing you had moves as good as them… or maybe that’s just me.
I love this couple, and it’s not just because ever since I saw Swing Kids as a kid, I wanted to learn swing dancing. They exude happiness which makes their incredible moves that much more enjoyable.
These guys get points just for making the Robot look cool. And the exuberant groomsman at the 2.43 mark is laugh-out-loud funny.

Happy "I Told You So" Friday Courtesy of the Star Wars Wedding
So I was innocently working on my Best 20 Wedding Movies Part 2 post (a sequel to Part 1 posted back in July) when I innocently mentioned to my husband that I was going to include Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. I also may have mentioned how I was excited at the prospects of infuriating all those macho Star Wars male fans out there… you know who you are and we know about your Star Wars figurine collection in your basement and we just might like you because of it. And I know you read my little wedding planning blog!
Anyway, as I digress in multiple directions…. My husband was convinced that there was no such wedding to be found in any of the Star Wars movies and what did I know anyway? It turns out, quite a bit! Enjoy this sappy little scene… while you can before Episode 3 destroys all that’s good in the Star Wars world.
Told you so!

A Little DIY Quirkiness to Start your Week Off Right!
One of the things I love most about my job is the relationships. Typically, I’m hired pretty early on in the wedding planning process, so my clients get to know me on both a personal and professional level and vice versa. Planning a wedding is inherantly personal, and these great relationships keep growing even after the wedding is over. Like I said, it’s one of the main reasons why I love what I do.
Case in point: One of my clients sent me this link this morning to a super sassy DIY wedding idea. I absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop laughing at the concept, which the bride of course predicted.
It’s from the delightful Fig and Plum blog: DIY Bride and Groom face Coasters. A little strange, yes, but I appreciate the originality and out-of-the-box-ness of the approach.
I think it’s just enough hippy kitsch cute – how’s that for a description?; plus, it’s beyond crafty and personal. What do you think?
p.s. In case you were wondering, the blog editor is NOT from Seattle, but her amazing wedding photographer is, so the Seatle-creativity theory continues. Seriously, what do they put in the water up there??

Friday Funnies Courtesy of The Office!
At Better Together Events, we love “The Office.” If you don’t follow the show, you must catch up on Hulu - I promise you won’t be sorry!
Some belated thoughts on Pam and Jim’s wedding episode from a few weeks back:
- Why didn’t the bride call an ambulance when Andy had his accident? Shameless plug #1: If she had an experienced wedding planner by her side, she’d be getting her beauty sleep instead of driving to the ER.
- Ripped veil! Minor emergency… if only Better Together Events was by her side with her wedding day emergency kit.
- I love the spoof of the YouTube wedding video! Beyond brilliant.
- This episode was my ultimate favorite, and the unspoken dialogue between Pam and Jim was classic. Favorite Jim quote ever: “I bought those boat tickets the day I saw that YouTube video. I knew we’d need a back-up plan. The boat was actually Plan C. The church was Plan B. And Plan A was.. marrying her a long, long time ago — pretty much the day I met her.”
I just love LOVE… even the kind acted out on good TV. Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!
