Today my heart turns ONE… Why, how did this even happen?

Oh My Bridget, so many things to say, but I just want to leave you with this very important thought: This year you’ve learned to dance, to take steps, to laugh, to talk, to roll, to giggle, to eat, to cry… you’ve learned to write your own song and to make your own dance and all the while I’ve had the privilege to watch your eyes as you discovered things extraordinarily beautiful and extraordinarily terrible. Seeing the world through your bright, blue, brilliant eyes has been nothing sort of miraculous. I hold your first year in my heart as you carry my heart with you.

I’ve just been loving Etsy lately. I’ve been on there more than usual as I started planning the little one’s first birthday party (yes, four months in advance). I married my favorite person on the planet, Mitchell Alan Linder. He pretty much has had my heart since I first met him at a dorm party nearly a decade ago. Along the way, we’ve had adventures great and small, and seldom does a moment go by where I don’t think to myself, “How lucky I was to have stumbled across this amazing person.” Mitch Linder, you are my rock, my comedian, my Matt Saracin, my Mr. Darcy, the one-and-only amazing dad to the adorable Bridget Elizabeth. You make every day better and you and Bridget are the very best parts of every day. I love you and I’d marry you yesterday, today, and always.
