Oh, Kyla and Ryan, where do I even begin?

These two wonderful people came into my life in January 2010. I still remember answering the phone and finding Kyla on the other end. I knew instantaneously that we were meant to go on the wedding planning adventure together and be life-long friends. Kyla had a clear wedding vision: clean, elegant, and romantic! Her and Ryan just resonate joy and love, and this much was apparent in all the details that painted the day.

Kyla loved planning her wedding and was a champion decision maker, which made the planning effortless. The wedding ceremony was held at the spectacular Chapel Hill downtown; dinner and dancing followed at Oak Hill Country Club. This wedding brought together the best of the best in the Rochester wedding industry including (in random order!):
Tomas Flint Weddings – Photographer
Pastor Jack Porcello – Officiant
Marini Strings – Ceremony Music
Nik Lite Band and Jazznik – Entertainment
Premier Pastry – Cake
Arena’s Florist – Floral Design
Paper Moon Productions – Videographer
Bella Carta Studio – Stationary Elements
Balloon Effects International – Lighting Design
S&S Limousine – Transportation
Del Monte – Sunday Brunch, Guest Accommodations
Next Door Bar and Grill – Rehearsal Dinner
Table Toppers – Linens and Chair Rentals
Encore Signature Events – Photobooth

Maria at Ultra Image – Hair

As you can see below, Kyla’s wedding look was out of this world. Her dress was Vera Wang at her best and most romantic : a soft and clean bodice with tiered layers of romantic organza. For more on her Louboutins/pieces of art on her feet, click here! Bridesmaids wore lovely, Priscilla of Boston, crinkle chiffon, short, one-shouldered dresses in pewter. Nude heels completed their gorgeous look. Ryan was in a classic, custom Hugo Boss tuxedo and his groomsmen wore Calvin Klein.

The color palette was Pewter, Steely Lavender/Lilac, and White with hints of green. All of the details from the floral design to the paper products to the cake and beyond were designed and implemented with these hues in mind as well as Kyla’s overarching vision of romance and elegance. I think everyone knocked it out of the park if I don’t say so myself!

Kyla's bouquet was made up entirely of peonies and wrapped with the fabric of her mother's veil. Charles Arena is a genius!

I’ve mentioned some of my favorite personal moments on this blog before: the moment before the bride goes down the aisle – the anticipation, the excitement, the nerves, the weight of the moment-, the privilege of witnessing the bride get ready with her loves ones.. Professionally, it’s always so fulfilling to see all the details come together in one perfect evening. I can’t thank Tomas Flint and his talented team enough for documenting Kyla and Ryan’s wedding on the “macro” level (see below)…

But, of course, at the end of the day, it’s all about the love, which these two have in abundance!

I simply had the best time working on this wedding and getting to know Kyla and Ryan both as the fantastic individuals they are and as a couple. To say thank you for the honor to be a part of this adventure and to share in your joy could never be enough to express my gratitude. Cheers to your wonderful marriage and to many coffees and conversations to come!
